WAUKON BANQUET CENTER Thank you for choosing Waukon Banquet Center for your special occasion. We hope to make this as easy and stress free as we can for you. We will do as much as we can to try to accommodate your needs and wants. Below are a few of our requirements. - You may decorate to your taste. We just ask that you take it with you when you leave. There are some decorations up, if you don’t want to use them, feel free to take them down. No nails, screws or tape on the walls or ceilings.
- Any additional lights, extension cords, table linens or decorations will be left up to you.
- We do ask that you limit the amount of small candies used in decorating such as M&M’s, Skittles and small gum balls. These easily get ground into the carpet and floors. If you choose to decorate with small candies there may be an additional charge for clean up. This depends on how much ends up on the floors.
- Normally for weddings we will try not to book anything else for the few days before, so you can decorate. Very rarely, however, there are bookings back to back. Therefore, if there is nothing booked before your reception, you will be allowed to decorate 1-2 days in advance.
- If there is an event the following day, your personal items need to be out before you leave. If not, then Sunday by noon.
- The price of the hall is $550
- There is a $275 deposit to hold the hall, due with the contract. As soon as we receive the contract and deposit, your date will be locked in. If you cancel your event and we can rebook the date we will refund your deposit. If we cannot rebook the date, then you will forfeit the deposit amount. The remainder of the balance is due when you receive the key to begin decorating. Key should be returned by the following Monday.
- If there are no events scheduled for the morning after, you have the option, for an additional $50, to have the hall for opening gifts or having a breakfast/luncheon.
- We will provide the bartenders for the event.
- Absolutely no alcohol or other beverages are to be brought into or leave the premises by anyone except Waukon Banquet Center. This is per State and City Codes. We will order champagne, wine and all other beverages. If you have a special request, please let us know 20 days in advance. We offer a full line of beer, wine and mixed drinks for your guests. We also keep pop and water in supply. You may, of course, bring in your own punch.
- Drinking is not allowed in the parking lots or grass area. Any person drinking outside of the building will be subject to open container charges or other charges the local police wish to charge guests with. Please remind your wedding party.
- For parties of 350 or more we allow two kegs, fewer than 350 are limited to one keg. Just let us know the brand you prefer and we will order it for you. Kegs are $145.
- Currently available for your use are 35 long tables, 22 round tables and 400 chairs. Each table seats 8 people comfortably. If you need additional tables/chairs, it will be your responsibility to rent and bring them to the center. It will be your responsibility to set up tables and chairs; we will help take them down between the reception and the dance.
